Libraries go portable!

Libraries go portable!

South African Pastors and Teachers are accessing libraries!

The idea to provide Logos Software and laptops came after speaking with pastors about the lack of safe and secure space to have a study library either at home, or at their churches in the informal and congested areas of Cape Town.

Many pastors in the informal settlements of South Africa lack access to scholarly resources and reference books that are essential to preparing sermons which address contemporary theological challenges of our day.

The problem in South Africa is not literacy but access to affordable study resources that many Western pastors take for granted.  The goal is to give underprivileged pastors in SA some of these same study and devotional materials.  This digital library provides easy access to over 400 resources: commentaries, Biblical history and the original languages, Systematic Theology books, Church History, Grammar and Dictionary resources as well as Bible study guides and Biblical Theology reference material.

This Resource Library is helping under-equipped pastors and Bible teachers access the tools they need for sermon preparation, discipleship and counselling in their local churches and communities. The result is Shepherds who are better equipped to lead and to teach.  In turn, those they are teaching are growing deeper in their maturity and understanding of the Gospel message.
